Cousins and Lightning!!!

Well, the kids sure had fun with Marci's kids visiting for the week. For me it was crazy. The kids all did great. They get along with each other very well. We had several thunder storms while they were here. Kiersten especially was very anxious about the thunder and lightning storms. I kept telling her over and over again that there was no reason to be afraid. Then, of course, Wednesday afternoon the lightning struck our house! The A/C was out for a day and a half. Both thermostats were fried and also a transformer in one of the a/c units. We had a circuit breaker out, so some of the house did not have power. My modem, cordless telephone, and garage door opener were all fried. That whole ordeal threw me for a spin. Being without Air Conditioning for a day about pushed us all over the edge. I have no idea how people lived in the south without A/C. It is hot and muggy. All in all, I am grateful that nothing else was ruined and I am grateful for all the little luxuries that we have. Tracy
